Safety Rules

  • Handle the hooks carefully: make sure to cover or remove the hooks from the fishing rods before transporting them. Tip: use hook covers or protective caps to ensure safety during fishing. Tip: use hook stoppers or protective covers to ensure safety when fishing.
  • Keep your distance: always fish at least 10 meters away from others to prevent accidents. Before casting your rod, make sure there's no one behind you.
  • Educate beginners: teach children and beginners the safety procedures for handling rods and hooks to reduce the risk of accidents.
  • Keep a safe distance: always stay at least 6 meters away from overhead power lines when transporting or using fishing rods to ensure safety.
  • Avoid high grip: to prevent damage, do not bend your fishing rod. Keep the rod at an angle between 45° and 60° to avoid breaking it.
  • Aim for snags: if the bait gets stuck, direct the rod towards the obstacle and back away. This reduces tension and prevents damage to the rod.
  • Handle carbon fiber rods carefully: while strong, these rods can be fragile. Avoid dropping them or hitting them against hard surfaces to prevent damage to the equipment.
  • Transport safely: disassemble the rod and store it in a protective case to prevent damage caused by impacts or external factors during transportation.
  • Handle graphite rods carefully: these rods conduct electricity. Avoid using them during storms or near power lines to ensure your safety.
  • Release stuck bait or sinkers safely: never pull bait, or sinkers stuck in trees or bushes using the rod and fishing line. This can fling the material in your direction. Only release them with your hands.
After the LT and LT ARK versions, the Certate is now available in the SW (Salt Water) version. The Certate is a reel much appreciated by sea anglers and is a benchmark in terms of compact, powerful and robust spinning reels. With the arrival of the Certate SW, the Certate family is now a complete range that we offer to sea fishing enthusiasts, from sea bass to tuna.

Power and robustness

A true replacement for the Catalina, the Certate SW is equipped with a Monocoque body, just like the Saltiga 20. This single-piece machined aluminium structure gives the Certate SW solidity and great robustness. The Monocoque Body also allows the reel to be equipped with a large Tough DigiKitchen sprocket with a large number of teeth for a significant gain in power. Another point in common with the Saltiga 20: the ATD (Automatic Tournament Drag) drag ratchet is very audible, allowing the angler to adjust the knob with precision, not to mention greater fishing pleasure. Sensations guaranteed!

Light and fluid

Thanks to its ZAION carbon Air Rotor, the reel rotates smoothly and is lighter: a real comfort gain for big-game fishing enthusiasts. A Magsealed bearing on the pick-up roller, as well as Magsealed oil around the main shaft of the reel, improve the sealing of the Certate SW against corrosive salt elements. When retrieving, the rotation comfort is unique. In combat, the roller offers perfect fluidity so as not to disturb the progressiveness of the ATD drag.

The Certate SW is therefore a perfect compromise between the Saltiga 20 and the Certate LT 19. It is a front drag reel designed for active and fast casting fishing. Perfect for tackling tuna off our coasts and for exotic fishing for powerful fish: tuna, horse mackerel, etc.
