The flashlight also works in lamp mode - from a USB power source, without an internal battery. The Micro USB socket eliminates the need for a charger: any Micro USB cable is suitable for charging. A powerful built-in magnet, a removable clip and a head mount provide various mounting options, and an additional hole in the back cover makes the Elf C1 a very complete flashlight.
