ULTEGRA 5500 XSD REEL

The Ultegra XS-D is sure to become a surfcasting favourite with its new Super Slow 5 Oscillation system that winds 50 turns of line onto the spool for each complete oscillation cycle. This produces noticeably smoother and more accurate spooling with both braided and monofilament lines and improves casting distance compared to other reels. Another innovation is Shimano’s Parallel Body Design. This aligns the spool parallel to the rod which in turn minimises line touching the rod when casting, a feature that is especially useful when using surfcasting rods.
The new Ultegra XS-D also features X-ship gears that improve winding efficiency, allowing you to easily retrieve distant fish. The super-fast instant drag can be quickly locked with just one adjustment turn, making other reels without this adjustment a thing of the past.
