Since its debut in 2004, the Certate has evolved through multiple generations, becoming an iconic model known for Daiwa’s excellence in design and engineering.
The “HD” (Heavy Duty) designation was introduced in 2005 for models built for heavy-duty saltwater fishing.
For the 2026 version, the Certate HD features a full aluminum construction (monocoque body and rotor), a Duralumin main gear, and a powerful carbon drag system.
It delivers reduced rotational inertia and improved balance without compromising strength or smoothness.
It is ideal for seabass lure fishing, small pelagic species (bonito, amberjack), and larger predators such as barracuda.
